HiQ® is a brand and registered trademark in its own right. HiQ represents the full range of Specialty Gases, Specialty Equipment and related services from The Linde Group worldwide. There are many specific product and service trade-marks within the HiQ family that represent some of our most unique signature products. Many of them are Exclusively HiQ, some others are also available with other ranges of Linde technical gases and services.
HiQ Cylinders - Exclusively HiQ - Cylinder packages
ECOCYL
This portable solution represents innovative, refillable, sustainable packaging for specialty gases and research grade chemical gases. Whilst ECOCYL is a relative new comer to the HiQ family, it is already a genuine signature product. All ECOCYL models are equipped with an integral valve and/or flow regulation device to avoid the need to purchase and fit separate valves and pressure regulators. The various models include OSQ for on-demand flow of calibration gas mixtures for gas detector testing and the RSH for flow controlled dispense of high purity specialty gases and gas mixtures. The ECOCYL range are modern alternatives to more traditional small disposable cylinders, see below.
HiQ MINICAN
Whilst the ECOCYL represents a portable solution using a sustainable, high pressure refillable cylinder, there is still a significant demand for disposable cylinders such as the HiQ MINICAN. Disposable cylinders are favoured for their ultra light weight and their commercial and operational simplicity. As the name suggests, the HiQ MINICAN is a small disposable cylinder option. It is typically used for calibration gas mixtures, especially for testing of gas detector. Its larger cousin is the HiQ MAXICAN, see above.
HiQ MIDICAN
Lecture bottles have been in use for decades in the specialty gases industry and HiQ MIDICAN is the name we use for this package from Linde. This is a low cost option for small quantities of exotic chemicals and gases. The HiQ MIDICAN combined with the ECOCYL VAH/VSH portable solutions, which have an integrated valve for accurate flow control, represent a comprehensive range of options for the supply of these gases for bench scale research applications. The HiQ MIDICAN is small a high pressure steel cylinder and can be considered to be the big brother of the HiQ MINICAN. Many different pure gases are available and its 300 bar test pressure enables surprisingly large quantities of gases to be filled in these small cylinders. Gas withdrawal is by means of type-tested valves with outlet connection to DIN 477 or other connections according to local legislation and standards.
HiQ MAXICAN
Whilst the ECOCYL represents a portable solution using a sustainable, high pressure refillable cylinder, there is still a significant demand for disposable cylinders such as the HiQ MAXICAN. Disposable cylinders are favoured for their ultra light weight and the their commercial and operational simplicity. As the name suggests, the HiQ MAXICAN is our largest disposable cylinder option. It is typically used for calibration gas mixtures, especially for testing of gas detector. Its smaller cousin is the HiQ MINICAN, see below.
HiQ MICROCAN
The HiQ MICROCAN is a high pressure cylinder of truly micro proportions... however, because it is a high pressure cylinder it contains a surprisingly large amount of gas. The name HiQ MICROCAN links to one of the main applications for this cylinder which is for carrier gases such as Helium or Nitrogen in modern MICRO-GC's. These MICRO-GC's and the HiQ MICROCAN have many innovative features in common, including light weight, compact design and portability for remote field applications.
HiQ PLASTIGAS
When only a single calibration event is required and there is no need to purchase a cylinder of gas for repeated use, PLASTIGAS can be a perfect solution. Simply, it is a plastic bag that you can fill with the relevant calibration gas mixture or sample for analysis. The size is small and the pressure is low, so the amount of gas you can put into it is also very small. But, if you only need a little, why carry a lot? The HiQ PLASTIGAS container is also ideal for sample collection in the field to bring gases back to the laboratory for testing and analysis.
