We have been successfully increasing the oxygen content of combustion air at customer furnaces for over thirty years. Originally, this involved enriching the main combustion air with oxygen. Today, oxygen is fed in through lances positioned directly in blast air tuyeres of melting furnaces – a significantly more efficient way of using oxygen.
Benefits of oxygen lancing
Increased melting capacity
Recovery of melting capacity in the event of regenerator or recuperator plugging
Longer furnace service lives
Higher melt temperatures
Operational flexibility
Reduced flue gas volumes and emissions
